1. Bow CP School Web Site |
The Parish of Bow is essentially rural, with farms surrounding the village, which dates back to about the 14th century. The oldest part of the village lies along the Okehampton to Crediton road.
Bow is a growing village and development in recent years has been to the south of the village and continues today as in-filling with individual houses and small estates. It is fortunate that in the heart of the village is a large playing field.
A strong sense of community exists in the village. There are many clubs and organisations for all ages, based at the village hall or the Village Centre. An active After-school Club takes place daily at the Village Centre for the attendance of the 5-13 years age group and runs from the end of school until 6.00 p.m. For further details please ring Mrs Sue Rogers on 01363-82914.
The church is situated some 1.5 miles from the village centre at Nymet Tracey and dates back to the 12th century. There are also two chapels and a church room. The "Village Shop" is very much alive in Bow with a few shops offering a wide range of goods and services. The doctors' surgery is a modern purpose built centre and includes various health clinics. Taken as a whole, Bow is a busy village, both socially and as a place of employment, whilst it is also attractive for commuting to Okehampton, Crediton and Exeter. |

5. Halberton Primary School |
Welcome to Halberton Primary School . The purpose of this guide is to give you an insight into our philosophy and ethos. As education moves into this new millennium, those involved in it are increasingly faced with exciting challenges and demands. Central to all of them, however, must be the child - your child. With this in mind our ongoing aims thus remain: to give your child the benefits of a rounded education, supported by the steady and effective development of literacy and Numeracy , to provide opportunities for breadth and diversity above and beyond the formal curriculum , to develop ability to think creatively, consider and solve problems, and communicate effectively , to foster knowledge and skills relevant to life beyond school , to involve your child as a positive and active member of the School and wider community to encourage within each child the self-esteem and motivation necessary for them to realise his/her potential. |

6. St Andrews Primary School, Cullompton |
Welcome to Cullompton St Andrews Primary School Web Site. The school is sited near to the town centre of Cullompton. This small former, market town is situated in mid-Devon and is adjacent to Junction 28 of the M5. The town is growing rapidly and serves as a commuter town for Exeter and Taunton. Tiverton Parkway railway station is close by. There are many new housing developments on the town fringes, yet the central part of the town retains much of its old identity and there is a strong community feeling. Our school occupies a large site with extensive facilities, and is easily accessed from the town and surrounding areas. |
