We are breeders of British Inuit and Northern Inuit (wolf Lookalike) dogs, All our puppies are bred from BVA hip scored Parents, These beautiful dogs make wonderful family pets, are easily trained and are good with children and get on well with other pets.

The British Inuit dog was originally bred from the Northern Inuit dog.
The Northern Inuit derives from the German Shepherd dog (GSD, Alsation),
Malamute and Husky (huskies, sled dog).
There are many wolf look a likes such as the Tamaskan, Utonagan (ute) and Northern Inuit.

There are also the Saarloos wolfhund and the Czechoslovakian wolf dog (CWD,Czech), both of which are in the UK.

Some Councils may require a licence for keeping CWD and Saarloos wolfdogs and some Councils will give written permission to keep them without a licence.Both breeds are established and registered in Europe.

The Inuit ia a gentle, non guarding dog unlike the Belgian Shepherd group ie. Tervueren,Groenendael,Laekenois and Malinois.

Inuit dogs are easier to train than most Nordic breeds such as the Keeshond, Canadian Inuit dog and other arctic breeds.

Shoshone Kennels only have quality puppies for sale, from BVA or European hip scored parents all of which have certificates available to view.

We breed from Northern Inuit and British Inuit lines, some of our pups are bred to look like the Carpathian wolf (European wolf) and some lines are bred to look like the Timber wolf (grey wolf) dependant on the parents. Occasionally some puppies have the Red wolf look.
