Forward Living is a registered charity.
We provide accommodation and support for people with learning disabilities in Devon and Torbay. We provide a wide range of accommodation and support services, from Supported Living where we assist someone in their own home for a number of hours per week, to care homes including a nursing home. We have a particular specialism in providing accommodation and support to people with learning disabilities who have very high support needs.
Two of our specialisms are Nursing services and supporting people in various stages of Dementia. These services are in great demand. We are therefore working with the Primary Care Trusts, Social Services and Housing to move both the Nursing Service and the Dementia service to new buildings with specialised equipment and facilities.
We will also meet the high demand by providing additional places.
We will not be able to achieve all we wish to achieve from grants and funding by the statutory authorities and so we are launching a new fund during the celebrations week and over the next 3 years we hope to raise £50,000 for special furniture and extra items. |
