Derrick was attending the centre on Hawk management course to enable him and his
assistants to train and fly the Ravens at the
Tower like hawks to the gloved hand.
he was so impressed with the centre that
he became our patron.

I have always been interested in Birds from an early age, when I was younger I always liked to read up on their habitats and basically anything about them was very interesting. I was at one point a member of the Y.O.C (Young Ornithologists Club) bus a life takes over and kids of my own came along the interest was taken over by general everyday things. On watching Falconry displays at a number of events I was always fascinated by birds of prey, my eldest girl also loved to see them fly. My eldest is 5 and a half and we decided to pay Yaraks a visit, I am so glad we did. We had a great day and will be revisiting the centre again in the future, we found the staff fantastic with our girl and we felt very well at ease with them making the day that extra bit special. Savannah our eldest most enjoyed the Harris Hawk at the end of the day but was also enthralled with the owls, falcons and Kestrels she held and flew during the day. This was a fantastic experience that we all enjoyed very much, we shall be going back!!!
