  • 1. MOHAIR SOCK
Angora goats originated in Turkey but nowadays the world's largest producers of mohair are South Africa and Texas. There are about 5000 Angoras in Britain producing 25 tonnes of mohair per year. (The world production is 20.000 tonnes) Mohair is known as the "Diamond Fibre" for its lustre, strength and durability. Unlike sheep's wool, mohair fibres are smooth and don't trap bacteria which cause smells. Thus mohair fibres are perfect for socks!
